Climate Change Mural II
As humans continue to pour greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, oceans have tempered the effect. The world's seas have absorbed more than 90 percent of the heat from these gases, and sea levels are rising on an average of 3.3 millimetres per year. According to some experts, Bangkok could be underwater in 15 years… and that's just around the corner. We painted this mural for UWC day in Thailand to create awareness around rising sea levels and its impact on this region of the world. It came together rather well with some careful planning, and I am so grateful to all those who participated. A mural is not enough, though.
